Learn the shortcut of felting. Shhh, it is a secret!  Simple, rewarding and oh, so easy. Beginner's Dye Workshop
Come and play with color!  Learn to work safely with acid dyes and produce beautiful vat dyed skeins of wool and alpaca yarn for your knitting pleasure.  Students should wear old clothes or bring cover-ups and aprons! Hand Painted Yarn Dye Workshop  
Release your creativity and create unique hand painted yarns, using brushes and acid dyes.  Students should wear old clothes or bring cover-ups and aprons and be prepared for a fun day of color!  Supplies provided include (2) 250 yard Alpaca yarn skein, dyes and mordant. "The Works"  It's all about the fiber! Open question and answer platform seminar taught by a breeder operator that has been in the business for 7 years. Topics include: fence layout / barn design / business plan / types of alpacas / desirable traits / medical needs / shows and much more. Schedule for Saturday Seminars
Seminars start 9:00 am.
 Gourmet lunch at 12:00 - 1:00.  Free time in the afternoon.  There are a variety of local attractions. Evening includes wine tasting session and dinner at  Chateau Morrisette Winery ( 3 miles from the farm)

Local attractions are all within 5 miles of the farm. The Greenberry House in historic village of Meadows of Dan, features hand spun and hand dyed yarns. Nancy's Candy Co., a candy manufacturer, creates every imaginable type of candy. Mabry Mill one of the most photographed places in the country is a restored sawmill and gristmill offering visitors a serene walking tour and restaurant.  Foggy Ridge Cider is an artisan cider making operation.  Their cider wines will surprise you.  Mountain Meadow Farm and Craft Market carries a beautiful selection of local artist's creations.  The quaint town of Floyd, about 10 miles away, has enough shops to keep you walking and shopping for hours.

Schedule for Sunday Seminars
Alpaca 101 and Creating Wealth are back to back in the morning. Light food fair. The remainder of the day might be spent climbing the famous Buffalo Mountain or simply enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Price includes Sat. & Sun. seminars, gourmet lunch, wine tasting and dinner. Three course dinner consists of a salad, choice of chicken, fish or beef entree plus desert. All taxes and gratuities included. The restaurant at Chateau Morrisette is first class.
